Bryan Takeo Asato, 44, of Hilo died on May 14 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama in Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was employed as a Sales Manager at THY and Associates, Inc. and previously at Lids and Foot Locker in Oahu. Visits from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 19 at the Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. A private memorial service will follow. Casual outfit. Social distancing and mandatory masks. Randy Rowell Cabalis, 50, of Hilo died May 28 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was self-employed and enjoyed fishing and pounding opihis. Services required. Jerry Patrick Domingo, 63, of Hilo died on June 8 at his home. Born in Chicago and raised in Pahala, he was a member of the New Hope Hilo Praise and Worship team, had a culinary arts degree, and coached and umpired basketball. Drive-thru from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15 at the Ballard Family Mortuary in Hilo. Survived by his wife, Loretta Domingo of Hilo; daughters, Thalia K. Pacheco and Vanessa M. Pacheco from Mililani, Oahu; brother, Ricky Domingo of Chicago; sisters, Patti Stoffel and Laurie Lee of Chicago; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles and cousins. Mae Midori Harano, 88, from Kealakekua died on May 10 at her residence. Born in Kealakekua, she was a salesperson at Ace Hardware Store and a member of the Kingsley Kumiai and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist temple. Private services will take place at a later date. Gloria Figueroa Yates, 70, of Kailua-Kona died on June 1 at her residence. Born in Hawaii, she was a housekeeper for Angel’s Cleaning Service and various condominium units in Kailua-Kona and Waikoloa, cosmetologist and security officer for Hawaii Community College and Securitas Security in the courthouses of Kona and Waimea. Services will take place at a later date. Survived by his son, Kenneth Yates of Hawaiian Paradise Park, Theo (Lacey) Kawasaki and Kevin (Noelani Cariaga) Yates, of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Nobilee (Darren) Cho of Captain Cook and Piilani (Jaime) Jaramillo of Arizona; sisters, Lucille Kauhaihao from Washington, Lori (Reggie) Marcello from Kailua-Kona and Emelia (Robert) Fernandez from Kohala; brother, Gilbert Figueroa of Vancouver, Washington; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
