Timor Leste - Dili Weather
Timor-Leste has a hot and humid climate due to the monsoon weather system that prevails here. November to May is the wet season here with the temperatures being quite high. The spring season during May-July precedes a dry spell that lasts for about 6 months during June-October. Spring is undoubtedly the ideal time to visit Timor-Leste. At this point of the year temperatures are mild and the hills and fields still green.
Temperatures average a cool 15ºC in the mountain areas and rise to 30ºC in the coastal areas during this period.
The rainy season damages the roads in Timor-Leste, making travel difficult. Some areas also experience rapid floods that can be very dangerous for the uninitiated. So it is best to avoid travelling to Timor-Leste during the monsoons.
