Frank & Margaret Favaro's three sons, Gino, Toni and Ernie are the current Company Directors. Gino & Ernie returned to Timor-Leste in August 1998 prior to the vote for independence the following year. Toni returned permanently to assist the operations in January 2009.

Ernie was awarded a Medal of Bravery by the Governor General Of Australia in 2004 for the saving of Australian Lives in Timor-Leste during the troubled times in December 2002.

Gino, his wife Yanti and their daughter Vivi (9yrs old) live on the premises, so don't hesitate to introduce your kids to Vivi; she speaks English and Indonesian and is learning the local language Tetum as well as Portuguese. Vivi like to make new friends.

The three sons are supported by several international staff including Ms. Marilou Valencia the Operations Manger, and Ms. Grace Babes the Front Office Supervisor, and a full team of local staff, including young Timorese women undertaking Hospitality Training at various training institutes in Timor Leste. The Hotel Dili has been an active participant in vocational training schemes in hospitality since their inception in 2003. It is the vision of the three Directors to see as many local young women as possible employed in the industry.The Hotel Dili was the first Timor-Leste hotel to employ women in every aspect of hotel operation after Indonesian Administration in 1998 and they now have in excess of 85% female staff.
