Henry
A renowned local character, Henry is the heart and soul of Dili Backpackers. His occasionally irascible exterior belies the soft centre within. Henry is a popular figure in the international backpacker community, featured in countless blogs and the subject of fond reminiscences wherever travellers gather together to compare notes.
He knows the world of the" backpacker" shows a genuine interest in their adventures (and occasional misadventures) and takes time to offer advice and (usually) humorous commentary on life in Dili. Well worth cornering him for a drink in Dili Backpackers' groovy beer garden, whose decor reflects Henry's quirky outlook on life. Henry is often accompanied by his equally famous and quirky dog, Bozie.
